Design
Here at EVL we aim to create unique instruments to fit your needs as a musician. The EVL electric violin bodies were designed to give the player the most natural tone. The instrument is engineered carefully so that the chambered body weighs and balances the instrument to feel like an acoustic, and the chambers also allow for a more resonant tone than you will get from a solid instrument. We use select woods with the same techniques to create our instruments that violin makers have been using for centuries. We believe this makes our instruments stand to a higher quality with increased playability.

Unique Options
Violins may be purchased with several features. The base PRO model orders have the options of body type, and color/finish. Extra options include sunburst paint jobs, mechanical tuners with a guitar style headstock, lightweight mechanical tuners installed to the pegbox, frets, or different pickups. Please call for more information about MIDI or Octave configurations. Violins may be purchased with 4, 5, or 6 strings (or more!). Electrics are available with Viola lengths (including configurations with E strings) and 3/4 sizes, please contact us for more information. We have several models of acoustic electric violins available. All violins come with a case. Bows may be purchased from us, or you can use your own!

We like to work with our customers to make an instrument suited for their particular needs. If you have a bold idea that you would like us to build, or just a simple request, please contact us. Electric Violins

Our electric violins are lightweight and have a natural sound, thanks to our unique chambered design. Other electric violins have solid bodies, adding weight and detracting from the tone. Listen to our sound samples to hear the difference. Electrics are available in the following body styles, or create your own!

	C-Series The Classic body is a great style for the musician looking for a modern violin with the traditional reference points. The upper bout gives a violinist the natural feel of an acoustic body when shifting into the upper registers. This model can be built in 4, 5 and 6 string configurations.

	S-Series The Slimline body allows for more freedom to venture into the upper registers while still having a small ledge available for reference. Only available as a custom build. This model can be built in 4, 5 and 6 string configurations.
	Q-Series The Q Series body looks and sounds great, maintaining a traditional look but with a modern edge to it. Only available as a custom build.

Acoustics

AE Series Acoutic Electric

Acoustic Electric violins offer the best of both worlds. We offer high quality acoustic instruments with a powerful sound, amplified and unamplified. Every acoustic electric we make is created with select tone woods from around the world.

This model can be built in 4, 5, and 6 string configurations.

M-Series Acoutic Electric

Our new modern acoustic electric design brings a sleek look to the acoustic violin. The cutout on the right upper bout allows for easy access to the higher registers, making the high notes much more fun to play.

This model can be built in 4, 5, and 6 string configurations.

Carbon Fiber Acoutic Electric

Acoustic Electric carbon fiber violins offer the modern look without the delicacy of wood, and a smaller lead time. The sound is strong and even across the entire range when amplified, and can still perform acoustically at lower volumes when necessary. These violins have geared pegs for easy tuning, and can be fitted with either Schatten or Barbera pickups.

This model is currently available with 5 strings only.

Electric Violas

Our electric violas have all of the same elements as our C-Series violins and have a beautiful tone that has to be heard to believe.
With different string configurations, you can have 4, 5, or 6 strings. Choose in the range of E,A,D,G,C,F,Bb. That's right, you can finally play in the violin range!

We are able to make custom instruments to fit the needs of professional and student musicians alike.
